Frequently asked questions

How can I tell if my anxiety and worries are normal?
Anxiety is somewhat normal; however, if it is severe, persistent, and out of control—affecting sleep, relationships, or daily functioning—it is best to have it assessed by a specialist.
Can depression be treated without taking medication?
In many cases, psychotherapy alone can be effective; however, choosing a treatment method strongly depends on the severity of an individual’s symptoms and circumstances, and sometimes a combination of psychotherapy and medication is recommended.
Can couples therapy really help our relationship?
Yes. Couples therapy helps couples recognize unhealthy communication patterns, strengthen dialogue and conflict-resolution skills, and better understand each other’s needs.
About Learning Disorder
How can I tell if my child’s learning problem needs a professional evaluation? If a child consistently struggles with reading, writing, math, or learning appropriate to their age, a specialized evaluation can identify the cause of the problem and show the right intervention path.
How many psychotherapy sessions are needed?
The number of sessions depends on the topic, your circumstances, and your goal, and we’ll decide on it in the initial sessions.
Will my conversations in the session remain confidential?
Yes. Maintaining confidentiality and privacy for clients is one of the fundamental principles of the professional therapeutic relationship.
